Biography – Managing Director, Mark Bernard

Recognized as a leading commercial real estate expert in Hong Kong Office Leasing Market, Mark has established success over the past 30 years in office leasing,renewals, rent review and investment sales.

Mark has completed more than 450 lease transactions for more than 8 million square feet. Prior to OfficeAsia Mark was the Executive Director and Head of Leasing and Sales in Knight Frank Hong Kong, Mark concluded many major landmark transactions in Hong Kong while managing an effective team.

Major transactions during that period included approx. 160,000 sq. ft. office relocation for Macquarie Bank; approx. 180,000 sq. ft. relocation for Pacific Century Insurance; approx. 120,000 sq. ft. relocation and lease extension for Credit Agricole Bank and CLSA; approx. 55,000 sq.ft. relocation for Bear Stearns; approx. 40,000 sq.ft. relocation for Hogan Lovells law firm; approx. 28,000 sq.ft. lease renewal and expansion for LGT Bank; approx. 22,000 sq.ft. relocation for China Netcom; approx. 65,000 sq.ft. relocation for Palmer and Turner to name a few.

During 1995-2003, Mark was an Executive Director and Head of Commercial Agency at Colliers Jardine Hong Kong, where he repeatedly acted for big corporate clients and concluded numerous major transactions.

Hong Kong Office Leasing  transactions of major note are Exxon Mobil, Allianz, ANZ Bank, Coca-Cola, WestLB Bank, Jardine Pacific, JOS Technology, British Petroleum Asia, MCI World Com, Mercedes Benz, Royal Bank of Scotland to name a few.

During 1990-1995 – Board Director Chesterton Petty Hong Kong, Head of Commercial Hong Kong/Kowloon.

During 1985-1990 – Associate Director Richard Ellis (CBRE) Sydney Australia.
